High-Strength Nickel-Iron MIG Wire for Cast Iron Repair and Dissimilar Welding
Weld Star FN 55 is a precision layer wound, ferro-nickel solid MIG wire designed for welding cast iron and ductile iron, as well as for dissimilar joints between cast iron and steel or stainless steel. Its nickel-iron composition ensures strong, ductile welds with reduced risk of cracking, even on difficult-to-weld castings.
Engineered to handle high sulphur, high phosphorus, or lubricant-contaminated castings, FN 55 delivers stable arc performance, excellent fusion, and clean weld deposits. Ideal for critical maintenance and repair jobs, such as rebuilding shafts, welding wheels, or joining cast iron to structural steel.
Supplied in vacuum-sealed packaging for protection against moisture and oxidation.
Key Features
- Nickel-Iron Alloyed – Excellent for welding grey, ductile, and malleable cast iron
