SDS Plus

SDS Plus is a widely used rotary hammer drill system designed for efficient drilling and light chiselling in concrete, masonry and stone. It uses a smaller shank size, approximately 10â¯mm diameter with two open and two closed drive slots, allowing the bit to slide slightly in the chuck to deliver hammer action. SDS Plus tools offer a balance of power, control and versatility, making them ideal for general construction, installation and maintenance work.

SDS Plus accessories are used with SDS Plus rotary hammer drills and are not interchangeable with SDS Max systems. Typical applications include drilling anchor holes, fixings, light demolition and chasing work. The SDS Plus range includes drill bits, chisels (steels), auger bits, rebar cutters, chucks and specialist holders, making it the most common SDS system for everyday professional and trade use.
