Weld Star ER 410 is a martensitic stainless steel MIG wire designed for welding base metals of similar composition and overlaying carbon steels where corrosion, erosion, and abrasion resistance are required. It produces a weld deposit with a predominantly martensitic microstructure, providing excellent hardness and wear resistance.

Due to its air-hardening nature, preheat and post-weld heat treatment are recommended to improve ductility and reduce cracking risk in demanding engineering applications.

This wire is ideally suited for welding and repair of 12% Cr air-hardening stainless steels such as 410, 416, 420, and 431, as well as cast alloys like C-15.
