Seamless Welds for Weathering Steel

Weld Star Dual Core Corten R is a seamless rutile flux cored wire specially developed for welding weathering steels such as Corten-A and Corten-B (also known as ASTM A242/A588). This wire matches the corrosion-resistant properties and colour of the base material, making it ideal for structural applications exposed to the elements.

Its seamless construction ensures low hydrogen content (<3.0 ml/100g), reducing the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking. It offers a stable arc, excellent out-of-position weldability, and easy slag removal, making it suitable for manual, semi-automatic, and automated welding processes.
