Description
Philidas industrial self locking nuts manufactured from A4-80 stainless steel to Din 980 are one piece, all metal prevailing torque nuts designed for demanding applications subject to vibration and dynamic loads. The locking action is created by a slotted collar above the hex, which de-pitches the threads to generate a controlled friction grip on the mating fastener, eliminating the need for nylon inserts or secondary locking components.

The A4-80 material provides high tensile strength combined with excellent corrosion resistance, making these nuts suitable for aggressive, marine, and load bearing environments. Philidas industrial nuts maintain reliable locking performance in extreme temperatures and environments exposed to oils, fuels, and vapours, and are typically reusable for multiple installations (at least five) without loss of effectiveness.
