TIG Wire for Martensitic Stainless Steels

Weld Star ER 410 TIG wire is a stainless steel filler metal designed for welding martensitic stainless steels and for overlay deposits on carbon steels to provide resistance against corrosion, erosion, and abrasion. Its composition enables the weld metal to air-harden into a predominantly martensitic microstructure, offering excellent hardness and strength.

Preheat and post-weld heat treatments are typically required to ensure adequate ductility for engineering applications. This wire is ideal for welding or repairing 12% chromium stainless steels such as types 410, 416, 420, 431, as well as cast C-15.

Commonly used in manufacturing and repair of heat furnaces, turbine parts, and other high-temperature components.
