Dissimilar Welding TIG Wire with Superior Crack Resistance


Weld Star ER 307Si is an austenitic stainless steel TIG wire formulated with high manganese and increased silicon content. This unique combination delivers excellent crack resistance, high tensile strength, and enhanced weld pool fluidity, producing smooth, visually appealing welds.


It is ideal for dissimilar welding of carbon steels to stainless steels, particularly where stress buffering or crack prevention is critical such as in armour plate, hardfacing buffer layers, and exhaust fabrication.
