Weld Star ER316LSi is a premium austenitic stainless steel MIG wire featuring low carbon content to reduce the risk of intergranular carbide precipitation and enhance corrosion resistance without requiring stabilisers such as niobium or titanium. Its elevated silicon content promotes excellent wetting and weld pool fluidity for clean, smooth bead appearance, while added molybdenum improves creep resistance in halide-rich environments.


This wire is ideal for welding 316, 316L, and 316Ti stainless steels, particularly in applications exposed to chlorinated solutions, acidic environments, or elevated temperatures up to 400°C. It is slightly magnetic and precision layer wound for superior wire feed consistency.
