Description
A Philidas® industrial nut is an all-metal locking hexagon nut designed to create a friction grip between the nut and bolt threads. As one of the most versatile self-locking nuts in the Philidas® range, it is widely used across industrial applications including rail network maintenance and automotive installations.

These Philidas® industrial locknuts are manufactured as a one-piece all-metal design with a collar formed above the hexagon. Two slots are cut into the collar in the same plane, and the surrounding material is de-pitched to provide the prevailing torque locking action. Suitable for use in high or low temperature conditions, the locking performance is unaffected by oil, petrol and other liquids or vapours, and can be reused multiple times while maintaining effective torque resistance.
