Our Hard Backing Pads are designed for heavy duty grinding, aggressive stock removal and applications where maximum stability is essential. Unlike flexible pads, these rigid pads maintain a firm, flat surface that transfers pressure directly to the abrasive, making them ideal for coarse and medium grade resin fibre discs used in metal fabrication, weld preparation and surface levelling.

Constructed from durable materials such as reinforced thermoplastic or rigid polypropylene, Hard Backing Pads like the ST358A series provide excellent heat resistance and consistent performance at high RPM. Available in multiple diameters including 125mm, 150mm, 180mm with standard M14 spindle threads, they are compatible with most angle grinders and designed to hold shape under demanding loads.

These pads feature rigid faces for cleaner grinding, reduced vibration, and reliable support for resin fibre discs.
