Weld Star ER 312 is an austenitic stainless steel MIG wire engineered to weld cast alloys and dissimilar metals, particularly carbon steel to stainless steel with high nickel content. Its unique two-phase weld deposit combines substantial ferrite within an austenitic matrix, providing excellent crack resistance and superior performance in heterogeneous welding applications.

With high chromium content, ER 312 offers strong corrosion and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures up to 420°C. Precision layer-wound for consistent feeding, this wire delivers smooth, reliable welds ideal for industrial furnaces, annealing chambers, boiler parts, heat exchangers, and demanding repair work.
