Low Carbon Stainless TIG Wire for Dissimilar Welding & High-Temperature Applications

Weld Star ER 309L is an austenitic stainless TIG wire designed for joining dissimilar steels and overlaying stainless alloys. Its low carbon content minimises the risk of intergranular carbide precipitation, delivering enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion even without stabilising elements like titanium or niobium.

ER 309L exhibits excellent performance in high-temperature, oxidising, and carburising atmospheres, making it ideal for furnace parts, heat exchangers, and buffer layers prior to hardfacing.
