High-Strength Stainless TIG Wire for Dissimilar and Problematic Steel Welds

Weld Star ER 312 is an austenitic stainless steel TIG wire specifically designed for welding dissimilar steels and difficult-to-weld materials. It forms a two-phase weld deposit an austenitic matrix with a substantial ferrite content, providing exceptional crack resistance and mechanical strength.

Thanks to its high chromium and nickel content, ER 312 offers excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, especially under moderate high-temperature conditions. Its unique metallurgical structure makes it particularly suitable for welding components where at least one base metal is fully austenitic or high in nickel content.
