High-Strength Aluminium TIG Wire for Marine and Structural Applications


Weld Star ER 5183 is a premium aluminium TIG wire designed for welding high magnesium alloys where superior tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and fracture toughness are essential. With excellent performance in marine and offshore environments, this filler wire is ideally suited for structural fabrication requiring durability and impact resistance.


Its good weldability and mechanical properties make it a reliable choice for industries such as shipbuilding, automotive, rail, and tank manufacturing. Preheating of thicker sections to 150°C is recommended to ensure optimal results. Note: Not suitable for elevated temperature service.
