Description
Philidas industrial self locking nuts manufactured from high tensile steel to Din 980 feature a one piece, all metal prevailing torque design for applications subject to vibration and dynamic loads. The locking action is created by a slotted collar above the hex, which de-pitches the threads to generate a controlled friction grip on the mating fastener. This eliminates the need for nylon inserts or additional locking components.

The zinc yellow plated finish provides enhanced corrosion resistance compared to standard zinc finishes, while maintaining reliable locking performance in environments exposed to vibration, oils, fuels, and vapours. Philidas industrial nuts are reusable (typically at least five installations) and remain effective in both high and low temperature conditions, making them a dependable solution for demanding industrial applications.
