Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum TIG Wire for Severe Corrosion Environments

Weld Star Alloy 59 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy TIG wire with very low carbon and silicon content. It delivers exceptional wet corrosion resistance in highly aggressive environments, outperforming similar alloys such as Alloy C276 in a wider range of oxidising media.

This versatile alloy is ideally suited for welding corrosion-resistant overlays and components exposed to severe chemical, petrochemical, and offshore environments, including scrubbers for flue gas desulphurisation, digesters, and paper-making equipment.
